On today’s podcast, we are going to be looking at blogging and why I do it. It is something I’ve been doing since 2010.
Podcast Episode 014 – Blogging
My history with blogging has been through many things. I’ve been absent, on the ball and then struggling. It has been a weird journey over the last 9 years. I’m still trying to find my way.
This podcast episode is looking back and why I started and what I hoped to do. I also discuss what I am hoping to do in the future with the blog.
The big discussion is really all about if blogging is dead. Are people still interested in reading them?
Blog Post Schedule
At this stage I am going to be posting and publishing my podcast episodes on Mondays. This way it gives me all the previous week to work out what to podcast about and record it. It seems to be a nice way to start the week.
On Wednesdays, I’m going be writing a review or doing some sort of discussion post. I will change it up each week. I’ve noticed the last couple of similar posts I’ve done have been popular. It is nice to do them again.
Each Friday I will let you know what the weekly challenge is. I have noticed that more and more people are doing it. I enjoy them as well. While they started as a thing for my Facebook page, I think it is good to spread it across the various social media sites I have.
I’m also considering adding some posts discussing photos that I am working on or what I’ve done with them. In the past, I really enjoyed doing posts like that, so it would be good to do them again.
Another type of post I’m considering bringing back is the Weekend Wanderings. They were great for me, helped get out and find new places to take photos of. Sometimes I really need to have something like that to help me get motivated, I’m basically a lazy person.
I hope this all sounds good to you.

Now, I thought it might be nice to have a look at some photos that were first posted on this blog. I first started with a Blogspot, and then moved to a free blog with WordPress. Back in 2013, I started this one, my self-published blog. While it started well, it did get disregarded a bit until 2015 when I decided to fully commit to it. I’ve been here ever since.
So here is a selection of photos from that first month. Funny to see how much has changed.
