Monochrome Madness – Back to Tasmania
Well not really back to Tasmania, but back to the photos I took while there two years ago and I found one I thought I could use for Monochrome Madness.

Remembering Cradle Mountain for Silent Sunday makes me think about my trip there over 3 years ago. It was the first day of my trip with my friend Sandra.
For Silent Sunday I thought we could look back on the photos I took when I did a boat cruise on the Gordon River in Tasmania.
While planning yet another trip to Tasmania I thought the infrared photos I took in Port Arthur might be good for Silent Sunday today. Infrared does have a quietness.
It seems sad at times to do all these photos and never look at them again. I want to start doing some posts where I’m opening up the archives to look back at some of […]
Here is one of the long exposures I took of a pier that was across the road from where we were staying in Port Arthur.
Just recently I showed you the images I took at Port Arthur with my normal camera, the Nikon D800. Here is the post so you can look at it, Port Arthur Historical Site in colour. At […]
More trees on rocks from my time in Tasmania. This is also from Binalong Bay and was taken on the same morning as the other image I took of the first tree on a rock. […]
A few weeks back I told you that one of the main reasons why we were going back to Tasmania was to use our Ticket of Leave cards at the Port Arthur Historic Site. So […]
It has been almost a week since I got back from Tasmania and I have landed back in Victoria running. I’m trying to finish a photography job I have for the local council and I’m […]

One of the main reasons I wanted to come to the east coast of Tasmania was to photograph a tree on a rock, seriously. There is a tree that grows from a rock in Binalong […]
Working out what to do when you are travelling is one thing, but then sometimes the plans fall apart or you realise you have forgotten to plan anything for a particular day. That is pretty […]
Tasmania has been beautiful, unfortunately. I know that is a strange thing to say, but it is true. There have been almost no clouds and it has been driving me mad. We have been seeing […]
Last year my friend and I went to Tasmania, back in June. We loved it, but with only 10 days we really didn’t see a lot. Though I suppose that is always what happens when […]
It has been a funny old week, I’ve had another article published, but I’ve also been waiting for tradesman to contact me about work that we need done to our house. The problem with owning […]
It has been over a month now since I went to Tasmania and there are still many photos that I would like to process more, but time seems to be against me right now. I […]
It has been a crazy couple of weeks with the trip to Tasmania and now I’m trying to settle down and get back into some work. Dynamic Range Magazine Of course, that is always going […]
