Reposting Weekend Wanderings – Cairn Curran Reservoir
Today I am reposting a Weekend Wandering post from 2016 about Cairn Curran Reservoir. It is a place I’ve visited a few times over the years.

Busy, busy day so I am reposting this one on Matty Smith an amazing underwater photographer. Not sure I could ever do what he does, but I love looking at it.
For Weekend Wanderings today I thought I would show you more of the infrared images I took in the park earlier this week. It was nice getting out with that camera again.
Today I was looking through my images from New Zealand and I found one taken at the Moeraki Boulders in New Zealand. I processed it a while back, but wasn’t happy with it.
Monochrome Wednesday and this week I thought we could have a look at a shed that I photographed at Hastings last year. It seemed like a good idea to get back to my Australian images.
Yes, it is the third post on Milford Sound, though this one is more about a waterfall there and thought it would be a good subject for Monochrome Wednesday. There are two photos, I couldn’t […]
Day 3 of our New Zealand wanderings it has to be said that there was a lot of water involved. From rain to sunshine and water flowing in so many different ways.
This weeks photo for Monochrome Wednesday is a little different to what I normally show. While it is a tree in water, it has been processed in a way which is not what I normally […]
It has been good to see many more of you doing the challenges. I like hearing that you like them. Now it is time for photo challenge 11 and this week it is Boats.
Here we are again with the next photo challenge, and it is number 3. It has been fun doing this and I hope you have enjoyed it as well. This week it is WATER.
Cape Schanck is one of those places I’ve been to many times, but never at sunrise, however it is always a good place for weekend wanderings. A few years ago I spent the weekend in Sorrento with […]
This is another photographer that we have looked at before, but on the old blog. I was very silly and deleted a lot of those posts, so now I have to do them again. Today […]
A couple of weeks ago I was at Alowyn Gardens taking photos of the flowers before and after the rain. Water drops on flowers are fantastic, they really bring out the colours of the flowers.
A friend asked me if I wanted to go in and do some photos around Docklands last week. She loves night photography, and while I don’t mind it, I wouldn’t say I love it. Still […]
Before we left for Tasmania we knew we had two days to spend in Port Arthur. We had planned all along to go to the Port Arthur Historical Site, but that still left a day […]
One of the main reasons I wanted to come to the east coast of Tasmania was to photograph a tree on a rock, seriously. There is a tree that grows from a rock in Binalong […]
Tasmania has been beautiful, unfortunately. I know that is a strange thing to say, but it is true. There have been almost no clouds and it has been driving me mad. We have been seeing […]
As you may have guessed, I have converted one of my old cameras so I can use it for Infrared Photography. I picked it up from Camera Clinic yesterday and this morning I raced down […]
It has been raining here quite a bit and the flowers in the garden are suffering from it a bit. They seem a bit soaked, or drenched, not sure. It is also nice to see […]
Still experimenting with the Canon 5D Mark IV. Yesterday I took it to Sorrento and Shelley Beach. I think the image looks silent.
