I have been loaned the Fujifilm XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro lens again, but this time I am trying to decide if I really want it.
I do.
It is a great lens and I know that I want to step away from Nikon and the only thing that is really stopping me from doing it is the macro lens.
Most of you know how much I love macro photography and I would be devastated not to have a lens that will allow me to do it. I can’t think about getting rid of my Nikon macro gear until I get some new macro gear for the Fujifilm kit I have now.
It has so much going for it and I know that I do want one now. I am trying to convince my husband, Dave, that I should be allowed to get one for Christmas. I think I have him almost convinced.
I thought it might be fun this week to do a video on it. I know a lot of you don’t like my videos, but I made this one shorter and it is about the macro. Actually, the video is looking at the macro through the lens. I put it on my X-S10 camera and filmed the world, or my flowers through it. I thought it would be nice to show you what it is like looking through a macro lens.
You can find the video here, Through the macro lens.
I want to start doing more videos that are shorter and just have one topic, but more about that in a future post.
Here are some of the images I’ve taken with it so far.
Take care everyone and I’ll be back soon. So much has been happening here and I can’t wait to tell you all.
Much obliged to you for sharing a particularly decent article. , first rate collection of articles, awesome work,
Thank you and you’re welcome.
Beautiful
Thank you.
❤🧡💛
Beautiful photos 📷😍
Thank you.
Thanks for sharing your views. I’m using canon for macro
YOu’re welcome. Canon do good lenses too.
Hi Leanne, great shots there. The purple flower is a scabiosa and the orange is a ranuncula, as I have captured those with my Nikon portrait lens.
I never know what they are called. Sometimes I find out. I love them all. Thank you Cornelia.
Hi Leanne,
You are so good at macro. I am really impressed with the quality of these photos. They are absolutely stunning and I love macro because it capture such a precise moment in time that you can’t help but feel like it’s real life.
Thank you Elsie, that is nice of you to say. I do love macro photography. I love it because it shows you a world that we don’t really see without that lens.
The most impressive photo I’ve seen today. I love this lens because it takes amazing photos. It is an awesome macro lens that is sharp and fast. The colors are vibrant, the composition is perfect, and the focus speed is very quick! I have used many different macro lenses in my life but none of them had all these features like this one does.
If you’re looking for a great quality macro lens then look no further than Fujifilm XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro Lens.
I agree with everything you have said. I think one thing I was really impressed with too is the colour, I have noticed my Nikon macro lens doesn’t photograph some colours very well, but this one doesn’t seem to have a problem with it. Thank you.
Beautiful photos!!
Thank you Nora.
I loved the video Leanne! I think you should definitely get the lens!
Thank you Dorothy, I really want to get it. Maybe Santa will be nice this year.
I’m sure you are on his Nice List!
I hope so. fingers crossed.
The video is wonderful, such a great lens, Leanne! ❤️🇦🇺
Thank you John, something a little different. I love the lens, just have to figure out how to get it now.
Christmas gift of course! ❤️
Of course, now I need to convince Dave, lol.
Dear Leanne
Great Colours!
Dina stepped away from Nikon to Fujifilm and is very happy with her decision.
Keep well
The Fab Four of Cley
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you, I think Fujifilm are great, I’ve converted a couple of friends, lol. They are so good to use.
Dina changed two years ago and had a great private teacher. Now she is very happy with Fujifilm.
Lucky to have the private teacher. I switched just over two years ago as well. I am really happy with it as well.
Dina is indeed very lucky. Now they work together quite often.
That’s great to hear.
I have that lens and love it. I sold my Nikon macro. Buy the Fuji lens! The only shooting I use my Nikon for now is ultra wide angle and telephoto.
That is my plan, once I get the new one, sell the old one. I just need to convince Dave. I think I am almost there. I have wide angle for my Fujifilm, so the only thing I really use the Nikon for is macro. Thank you Anne.
