This morning I went out for a big walk in Banyule Flats and Heidelberg. It was a really foggy frosty winter morning and I thought I would share a few photos from it.
I live in this area and I feel a strong connection to it, especially after being here for 30 years.Β We weren’t that happy to live here initially and thought we had made a major mistake. However, over the years we have realised how lucky we are to have all this parkland within walking distance.
So in keeping with the Lens-Artist Challenge of connections this week I thought I would show you a place that is close to my heart.
Tranquil! The Australian Heidelberg is so different from the one in Germany π.
Thank you PR, I can imagine how different it is.
Brillant!
Thank you.
Lovely….
Thank you Dawn.
Leanne, you live in such a beautiful place. It is easy to see why you feel so connected to it, loved seeing your pictures!
Thank you Sylvia, I love where I live and feel very lucky. Glad you liked seeing them.
Our worlds couldnβt be more geographically separate Leanne, and yet your image of the 2 trees reminded me very much of home. Beautiful
Thank you Tina, it is interesting that it makes you think of home, I love that.
The great thing about living in a beautiful place is that you revisit often, get to know it and can catch its different moods throughout a day or season. It thus becomes becomes a familiar friend to our eyes ( and lens!).
So very true Geoff, I go down there a lot. It is all that, thank you Geoff.
Those reflection shots are beautiful!
Thank you Sarah.
A beautiful place to spend some time, especially when it’s a short walk there. Connection, for sure!
Absolutely John, I love it down there. Thank you.
Dear Leanne
Reading Heidelberg I think of a romantic German university city which is quite touristy.
Thanks for showing us your Heidelberg

Very pretty. It is amazing how some places can convince us to love them.

Thank you Beth.
It’s a beautiful area, you are lucky to be there! ππ¦πΊ
That’s for sure John, the other thing that is great about it is that it seems to be hidden gem, so we don’t get inundated with people. Gotta love that. Thank you.
The light on the tree branches in that last photo is so pretty.
Thank you Lois, it is great to capture things like that.
wonderful nature shots that you have chosen for the challenge, I like them very much leanne.

I love them too Sue, they have always been like that since we have been here. Thank you.
So calm, and the clouds on the water is the perfect reflection.

I would love to see the peaceful places you speak of, they would fill my soul.
