I just want to apologise for not being around this week. I have had trouble with Photoshop, and when I asked for help, it almost stopped working completely. The ON1 wouldn’t load or open, so it was all a mystery. According to Adobe help, I need to update/replace my laptop. I don’t want to do that right now. I can’t believe they keep putting the price up, but now you also need to replace your computer every couple of years.
Well, my husband said Let’s just do a complete reinstall of Windows and everything. It is all working now, and things that didn’t work before are working again. So, no new laptop just yet. I’m so relieved. I’ve spent the last couple of days on this, still have things to reinstall, but that shouldn’t take long.
You have seen these before, and I wanted to show them again so we could see what I have done with them. This is just a small selection of the infrared flower photos that I have taken in the last year. I wanted to see if I could do something else with them.
I have been looking at using more of my photos to make videos and that is what I have done with these. They still aren’t perfect, but I’m liking the videos.
I have a short video today of some of the macro photos I’ve taken with the infrared camera. I am hoping to do other videos as well as I learn more about Davinci Resolve. It is a complicated program, but it is a good one.
As I’ve said before you can watch the video here, but if you click on the word YouTube it will take you to my channel and it will help me get more views for the video.
Beautiful floral closeups, and a neat video of them. I’ve had issues with Photoshop preferences and temp files, ugh. Glad you’re back up!
Thank you Tom. I don’t know what they are doing with PS these days, though it seems to be working now. Maybe you need to do a complete reset too Tom.
Lovely images and beautiful video, Leanne. I’m right there with you on Photoshop. I have been experimenting with Affinity 2 Photo (learned of it from one of your posts). I absolutely love it! Very easy to use and the tutorial videos are extremely helpful.
Thank you Donna. That is great to hear that you are using Affinity, thanks for letting me know.
A lovely gallery with well chosen music for this time of morning. I am glad that not all of the flowers were in “pull back” as I enjoy being taken into the depths of a flower from afar.
Thank you Brian. That’s good to hear, I like doing these.
I’ve had similar issues with Photoshop. Ugh. Glad you were able to get things working again.
This is the worse that I have had with PS, it is annoying especially with how much they charge you for it. Thank you Lynette, I am glad too.
The ‘ghosts of Adobe past’ bit you. I use Lightroom daily, however…
Adobe software is boated with old and new code that just eats memory, and even breaks PC’s. I have a great PC that runs perfectly, as long as Adobe isn’t installed. I use it with everything except Lightroom. Even my Lightroom editing PC has no Photoshop installed.
ON1 is looking better and better isn’t it 😁
That’s for sure Ted. I don’t use LR a lot.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised. I think Windows has a lot of that as well. Thankfully my computer is working a lot better now. Sad you have to start from scratch to get it that point.
ON1 definitely is, I love using it now. Thank you Ted.:D
You’re doing it the right way. Get into an editor and use it. It may be hard, but when you’re at that level of editing skill it’s the only way… in my humble opinion 😆
I think I agree Ted, it is a good idea.
What a beautiful video Leanne. I watched it on You Tube and subscribed. I hope you get a couple of more years out of your computer!
I appreciate you doing that Anne, thank you so much.
It looks wonderful, Leanne!
Thank you.
These are stunning pictures – so cool!
Thank you.
