Today we are going right back, right back to the start for me using a macro lens. These were all taken in 2014. The first few were from a Nikon 40mm macro lens and I had no idea what I was doing. The rest were taken with the Tamron macro lens.
I like these, but I like what I do now a lot more. I hope you enjoy them.
I love your featured photo for the colors and the details. My other favorites are the dandelion, and the pink ribbon flower. Well done with all the macro lenses and not knowing what you were doing. What are you doing differently now?
Thank you Marsha, most of those were from my mothers garden. She has lots of Australian natives in her garden. I think I process them differently, but I also have a real macro lens of my own now and that makes a bit difference.
Your mother has a beautiful garden. How fun. Your flowers are amazing over there.
She does Marsha. I don’t have many natives in my own garden, that is mainly because I find them hard to photograph and if I can’t take photos of them I don’t want them in my garden. lol
hahaha – why take care of something you can’t photograph! LOL
Exactly, I try to only have flowers that I like to photograph, lol.
Your photos from then are just as beautiful as they are now!!
Thank you so much Nora, that is nice of you to say.
Love your florals
Thank you so much Beth.
A stunning capture. Such depth. Is this from your own garden?
Thank you Cecilia, sadly not my garden, these were taken before I fixed up mine, but most of them are from my mum’s garden.
Having a mum who gardens is a total bonus for a photographer.
It is, though my grandmother was also a gardener, I just got to it a lot later than they did.
Your flowers are a real treat, as we have snow on the ground!
That’s good to hear, hopefully they cheer you up a bit. Thank you Sandy.
These are really nice! Flowers are even more beautiful up close.
I couldn’t agree more Helena, thank you.
These are so lovely. Even the fuzzy dandelion has its beauty!
Thank you so much Jean.
Great first macros. Now you have your own garden!
I learned a lot from them Anne, it was a very different game really. Maybe I should do a post on it sometime. I do have my own and I’m so glad about it. Thank you Anne.
