On the weekend my friend Suzzanna and I took a trip to Kyabram which is a little over two hours away from Melbourne. The reason for the trip is because Melbourne Zoos has just taken over a Fauna Park up there. So we now have 4 zoos here in Victoria.
Not sure about the zoo, glad we went to see it, but not sure we will visit again. Much of what it has can be seen at Healesville Sanctuary which is a lot closer. Though having said that, I’m sure it is good for those that live in country areas. I hope it grows and gets as good as the other zoos we have.
There is one animal that we don’t get to see a lot, and that is a dingo.
They were so cute. Of course, they are still dogs and not an animal you would approach in the wild. They are basically wild dogs.
We also saw lots of birds, there were many aviaries to walk around and through.
Then as we were leaving we saw this Meerkat being so cute.
How cute is it?
I would encourage people who live up around Kyabram to visit the zoo and hopefully, the more people go the more they will see there.

Fantastic velvety tonality…I want to drink in the light and shadows!
Thank you, great comment.
Superb shots, Leanne 👏 The medium shows up all the details of fur & feathers perfectly 😃 Here’s mine: https://jezbraithwaite.blog/2023/06/09/bobbing-about-cbwc-monochrome-madness/
Thank you Jez.
Looks like a fabulous place!
It is nice Dawn, thank you.
We’re not worthy, we’re not worthy … it seems to be saying. My cat (not MY cat) is a bit more haughty:

Or you’re not worthy maybe. Thank you.
Fab clicks!

This Monochrome bird was a poser. Anita
Definitely Anita, thank you.
The Dingo looks like a family pet in the photo.
Yeah, it does, I just wanted to pat it, but of course I knew to stay back. Thank you John.
