Today for Weekend Wanderings it seemed like a good idea to show some of the birds I photographed at Healesville Sanctuary a few weeks ago.
Silent Sunday – Monterey Bay Aquarium
Returning to the images from my trip to the USA in 2015 I thought looking at the photos from Monterey Bay Aquarium for Silent Sunday would be good.
New Zealand Wanderings – Rainforest Walk
When I was doing my New Zealand Wanderings there were often too many photos, so today, we are revisiting them to look at the Rainforest Walk. We did this as part of the Glacier Lake Tour that we did when at Franz Josef.
Photo Challenge 7 – WILDLIFE
Well, I’m embarrassed to say that I forgot to post about the photo challenge yesterday. It is photo challenge number 7 and I was so carried away with other things yesterday that I didn’t let you guys know that it is Wildlife this week.
Review – Tamron 100-400mm lens
Taking photos with a telephoto lens usually means compromises. They are often too heavy to just hand hold and you have to use a monopod or tripod. They can come with a very expensive price tag which makes them out of the range of most people. Tamron have come up with a compromise.
Weekend Wandering – Moonlit Sanctuary
There hasn’t been a Weekend Wandering post for quite a while, but yesterday I went to Moonlit Sanctuary in Pearcedale. It was my first visit and I suspect I will be back. Seemed like a good place to do a Weekend Wandering article for.
Bird Photography with the Tamron 150-600mm
My time is almost up with the Tamron 150-600mm G2 lens. I have really enjoyed having it and seeing what I could do with it. For one last time with it I took it to a new place today with lots of birds. Bird photography is perfect for this lens.
Tasmania – Wineglass Bay Cruise
Working out what to do when you are travelling is one thing, but then sometimes the plans fall apart or you realise you have forgotten to plan anything for a particular day. That is pretty much what we worked out a couple of days ago. We spent some time looking around for things to do […]
Weekend Wanderings: Phillip Island Wildlife Park
This past week a friend and I traveled to Phillip Island to visit a place called the Phillip Island Wildlife Park. I hadn’t heard of it before and, if I’m honest, I wasn’t really that excited to go, but my friend always goes with me so didn’t feel like I could say no. She had […]
Weekend Wanderings: Healesville Sanctuary
With my friend Marsha here from the US, I had to take her to Healesville Sanctuary. It is part of Melbourne Zoo and where you go to see everything Australian. All the indigenous animals, birds and plants are there. I don’t know if they are all there, but must be pretty close and you get […]
