Monochrome Madness – More flowers

So from the photos I took last week I thought I might try a couple in monochrome.

I’m still uncertain about the whole flowers and monochrome, but I think it is something I need to try more.

  1. There is a quality about the shape and form that feels magnified without colour, but the sharpness is key. I love seeing how you allow your flowers to emerge in your photography.

    1. Thank you Trish, I am on the fence about sharpness, I mean, I don’t like out of focus flowers, but I like softness, it is something I’m working on.

    1. I am still behind PR, but will try and get back to have a proper look. I’m a bit obsessed with the garden right now, especially since I’m feeling back to my self. With it being Spring there is so much to do.

  2. I have a few B&W flowers in the folder and am never content with the results. I might have another go at posting one next week.
These are good examples Leanne, but can see why you aren’t sure of the results šŸ™‚

    1. I don’t know what it is Brian, it is because we don’t pick the right flowers or what, I am going to have to try more and work out what it is. I have seen some really beautiful monochrome flowers and would like to get some myself. Thank you.

  3. Dear Leanne
we prefer clear lines in monochrome pictures. Your right picture, softly, doesn’t work that well for us in BW.
    Thanks and all the best

    1. Thank you Brian, I think it is actually still a bud. Will have to see what it looks like when it blooms. I will make sure I take a look, though commenting isn’t always easy. It is all new.
