Returning to the images from my trip to the USA in 2015 I thought looking at the photos from Monterey Bay Aquarium for Silent Sunday would be good.
Silent Sunday – Monterey Bay Aquarium
Visiting Monterey Bay Aquarium was a highlight for me. It was somewhere I really wanted to visit when I went, but almost missed. I’m so glad we made the decision on my last morning with my friends to go. It was so worth it.
I thought I might repost here some of the original post for you.

What do you do when you only have a few hours left in one place or with some people? Go to Monterey and see how much you can see.
Before going to my sister in laws in the afternoon to stay, my friend and I decided that we would get up fairly early to go down to Monterey, maybe go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
I’ve heard so much about this aquarium since my husband had visited it on his trip there ten years ago. If I could find the time to go I really wanted to see if it was a possibility. I thought the time had run out and then my friend said, let’s just go. So we did.
Taking photos
Aquariums can be really hard to take photos in. You have the problem with the marine life never staying still and then their tanks are often too dark. It can seem impossible. Patience is always the key. Not something I usually have a lot of, but I have to try at times.
I’ve shown the jellyfish quite a few times, but there is so much more there. It is a marine wonderland and I understand why people rave about it. There are also birds there as well. I loved the splash or wave thing they did. It was so cool.
Oh a side note, someone gave me the link to the Jellycam, check it out here.

So, as you can imagine, I took a lot of photos while I was there. So here are some. I hope you enjoy my visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Love the aquarium and you’ve got some great photos. Love the spawning coral–I think that it what that is.
Thank you Bec, I don’t know, I have to confess I can’t remember as much now.
Amazing
Thank you ksbeth.
I was blessed to visit that beauriful aquarium and spend a few days in Santa Cruz back in 2003 as me and my sister drove the whole Calif. Coastline from Ventura all the way to Grants Pass, Oregon! It was the best trip ever. Of course, MY photos didn’t turn out as stunning as your’s! LOL. And I appreciate you sharing them xoxo … Catherine Lyon
I think I had an advantage, digital had improved so much by that stage. Plus I could see what I was doing. It is an amazing aquarium. Thank you Catherine.
