Silent Sunday – Running a workshop in Lorne

Back in 2018, I ran my one and only weekend workshop away from the city. It was meant to be a long exposure weekend, but instead, it rained the whole time. What a disaster.

We had to find other things to do, and we did.

Take care.

  1. Wow, what a different perspective Leanne. Great photo despite the weather. We had a workshop with photographer Matt Krumins from the Yarra Valley here in Mansfield last month and the weather was lousy, but he still taught us lots about taking great photos.

    1. Thank you, yeah, we did manage to get some good shots, just not what we were hoping for. That is great about yours, this was my one and only, I have never had any luck getting people to do workshops that I run.

    2. That is a shame, Leanne. I wonder if in country areas people are so up for learning new stuff whereas in the city, we become blasΓ© because it is around us all the time. I was offered a gig running a writing workshop a while back but we couldn’t get enough numbers although people were asking for it!

    3. It is what it is, I hate hearing how successful others are, and a couple of years ago it would have made me depressed, but now I just keep reminding myself that I don’t want to do and am much happier now. It is amazing how people will put their hand up for something, that is until it will cost them money.

  2. “a long exposure weekend” – three days out in the elements with no shelter? πŸ˜‰

oh no, wait. not that kind of exposure.

    1. Haha, no, not that kind, but we did experience a lot of that, but not a good weekend for our filters. thank you Graham.

  3. I see no disaster in these photos, Leanne! You made lemonade out of a sour day. β€οΈβ˜ΊοΈπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί
