I wanted to start by saying that I hope everyone in the US had a good thanksgiving.
Now this is a bit of a lazy post. I have been trying to figure out how to embed videos directly here, but it seems I can’t upload anything more than 2MB, which isn’t great. I’m going to work on that.
I don’t want to put videos up all the time, but it would be nice to show short ones. Today I have a couple of very short ones for you. I wanted to experiment with video on my new phone. So here are the results.
Lovely little videos. Your dahlias have eyes. It looks like they are peeking out through the flowers.
Thank you Marilyn, I like the idea of the eyes. I guess that is very true, they do peak through.
Hello Leanne, if I may, get YouTube or Vimeo account, upload it there then imbed it into your blog. 🙂 I see you did that … ow well.
Yeah, I’ve had a Youtube account for quite a while for this reason, I think I will stick with it. I tried Vimeo but they charge too much money.
Great videos. How did you do that? Do you have to have a Youtube account and upload them through Youtube? I’ve been meaning to investigate this myself. Lovely flowers.
Thank you. Yeah, I have a YouTube account that I don’t use much, but it is a good way to get videos onto my blog.
Share more please … love to see summer while my world is shades of yellow and brown.
Thank you Brenda, I will see what I can do. I like the short videos.
You and your new phone are doing great Leanne!
Thank you Anne, I’m certainly enjoying it.
That’s a nice video, Leanne, your host seems to be limiting you, 2MB is terrible!
Thank you John, yeah it is really annoying, though I think we can change it, just have to work out how.
They’re should only be a maximum total storage limit for your media library. I don’t think there’s a restriction on individual file sizes.
My blog is self hosted so it works a little differently and my host has put the limit on it, unfortunately.
the videos were very pretty
Thank you Beth.
I think you shold give yourself a pat on the back. Lovely glimpses of – presumably your? – garden.
Thank you so much Margaret. Yes my garden.
eh, ‘lazy’ and ‘experimental’ are concepts not necessarily aligned.
Cool Idea. Even if you don’t do a lot of post prod on your video, you might be able to export them to a friendlier format? Just a thought as you experiment with vids.
It was a quick experiment really, so not too bad.
Yeah I”m looking into that Matt, but if you have any suggestions for the friendlier format, would love to hear about them. Putting things on YouTube seems to be the best way at this point. Thank you.
