Trying to get my act together.

Really I am, but I am finding it so hard. Being a housewife means I don’t have a lot of time, yeah I’m kidding. I just don’t seem to be into social media as I was once.

So a few things have been happening.

Teaching a Macro Class

Recently I taught a class at Alowyn Gardens. It rained the whole time, but it was fun. I really enjoyed it. I think since I’ve decided not to get into the business side of everything I can just relax and enjoy what I do.

I am sure I taught everyone what I was meant to. One thing I did say I would do was to find out where you can buy the close-up filter I have. It is a B+W and you can buy them from Digi Direct if you want one.

I am going to show you some photos from the day that I took them.

I played around with some old tricks while there, and it was interesting to see some of the results.

Getting out to take photos

I’ve been trying to get out at least once a week. Mainly so I can do videos for my YouTube channel, Leanne – Caught Midway. It has been nice taking photos again and then processing some.

The second part is still a challenge as I don’t have access to what I had before, mainly the large monitor. I’m coping and if I really want to do something I have the weekends to use it when my husband isn’t working. Yeah, he is still working from home.

So I have been to Banyule Flats again. I don’t really have any photos because it was a pretty boring morning. I do have video that you can see on YouTube, here, Leanne – Caught Midway.

You will also find other videos too, like one this week where I went to Princes Pier. I haven’t been there for quite a while. Here is one from there.

I have done some others, but I put them in the video.

I don’t know about the garden and how to do it. I feel like I need to keep the house/garden separate from my photography stuff. I’m going to see if I can find a way to do both. If you have any ideas, I’m listening.

I hope you will go and look at the videos. I like being able to take you along with me. Subscribing would help me out a lot too, YouTube likes it when people do that. So please subscribe.

I’m going to leave it there for this week. Take care and we will talk soon.

  1. Macro’s a wonderful way to introduce people to another world around us. Good work Leanne. Honestly you’ll find your life much better without Social Media, it’s not neccessary. I have none and focus on people who matter to me via real connections making the effort for each person or group. Businesses survived without Social Media before and they still can. I just temper my expectations about what I’m looking for as a return (both financially and personally).

    1. It is, the things you can see with a macro lens that you can’t with your eyes is incredible. Thank you Craig. I like some social media, but I am not using it like I was. I love doing the videos for YouTube, and blogging, I’ve made too many friends with it to stop. I like using it to share my photos now that I’m doing them again, but that’s about it. I’m rarely on Facebook, can’t be bothered with it. I think the world has changed these days and if you run a business it is hard to do it without some, though most times a webpage can be enough. Thank you Craig, great to hear from you.
