In past weeks I’ve shown you how to do burning and dodging in Adobe Photoshop and then I did some in Adobe Lightroom, but this week we are having a quick look at how to do it in Photo Raw 2023 from ON1.
I didn’t spend a lot of time on it because it is almost the same as in Lightroom, only instead of using new brushes, you do new layers.
I thought I would try a landscape image for this and use one from a trip to Marysville that I took recently. It is one of the waterfalls there. You can see the image in the header.
Here is the video for you.
Excellent post, Leanne. Speaking for myself as a longtime ON1 user, I much prefer it. Your video was a solid overview and I enjoyed hearing your voice-over. Thanks for sharing this.
You’re welcome Babsje, good to hear you use the software a lot. I just wish the software I use to record it did go so slow, might have to look into that. Thank you and you’re welcome.
I have on1 but don’t use it much. I do like using the presets sometimes. I’ve been using tools and courses by https://f64elite.com/ for processing in Lightroom and Photoshop.
I never use presets, unless they are my own. Good to see you found someone to help you out. Thanks Sherry.
A preset is a set of settings that I normly use. I always need to tweek the settings. The preset is a starting point.
I know what they are Sherry, I just don’t use them but I know a lot of people like them and use them.
It’s a nice time saver to get all the filter layers added at once.
I can see it would be.
