We haven’t been to my garden for floral Friday for a while and I thought it might be nice to get back into it. Still, not a lot going on.
We have been getting so much rain this week. It is good to be getting it, but it does make it bad for many flowers. They do get waterlogged.
There isn’t a lot out there, though once I started walked around with the camera I realised there was more than I thought. Some things haven’t come up yet, like any of my dahlias which is a worry. They were up this time last year. I don’t know if it because it hasn’t been warm enough or what. I am not giving up yet. It would be good to see them again.
I do have to get out there and do some weeding. In fact, my whole garden needs attention. Sadly there is only so much room in the bin for garden waste, so I have to work slowly and make sure the bin goes out full every fortnight. If I just go and weed then there will be piles and piles of dead garden waste everywhere. I have been trying to do a bit every day.
Gallery
Here are the flowers. Some you have seen before, some not. Bottlebrush is so hard to photograph. I just wanted to add them. My hydrangea is starting to flower which is really nice.
Though the question of the day is, who knew that Japanese maples flowered? I certainly didn’t and was really surprised to see the flowers on it. They are the last flowers in the gallery.
Take care everyone and enjoy your Friday.
