I think the first time I went to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show was in 2015. I think I knew that it would be a great place for macro photography and it has been.
However, it was also the place, or rather the photos from the place showed me a way to process them and put my stamp on them. I just started playing with the photos and I really liked the outcome at the time.
Sometimes it is exactly what you need to do, just play and see what happens. I still think they are uniquely their own, and I haven’t always done images the same. Having said that, I do love how dark they are and I have continued with that for most of my macro flower shots.
I think I need to look at these again and maybe try going back to doing more of this. What do you think?
Yes. It would be lovely to see more of this
Thank you, I’m sure you will.
Ooooh, these are lovely especially against your black background. They really pop.
Thank you Marsha, I love the dark background.
You are dramatic, my friend. π xxx
I am not sure how to take that Marsha, lol
Take it as a compliment, my friend! Dramatic photography is amazing.
Thank you Marsha, I will.

You did some good thinking Leanne π
Glad you think so Rudi, thank you. π
Leanne, I liked the dark mood in these photos. At the same time, I must also say I love the set at the bottom of the post. The center light in those photos are captivatingly beautiful.
Thank you Egidio, I like the dark mood too. I like playing with light, so that is good to hear.
That header photo is a stunner. Yes, I like your dark flower shots–it makes the colors just pop!
Thank you Lois, that is good to hear. I wasn’t really sure about that one.
Nice orange hues.
Thank you Marland.
