It is getting to that time of the year again when I have to work out what I need to do for my dahlias. Most of them will be fine, but I have some in pots that I need to upend split and put into bigger pots.
I thought today we could just look at some of the photos I have taken of dahlias in the past. I hope you enjoy seeing them again.
Love those colours! Dahlias are such beautiful blooms ..
Thank you Julie, yep my favourite flower I think.
I love dahlias and your photos bring out their sculptural forms beautifully!
I love them too Sarah, my favourite flower. Thank you.
A beautiful collection Leanne. Happy almost Saturday. Allan
Thank you Allan.
That is a truly gorgeous dahlia collection! Here where it’s summer, mine are just starting to open…
Thank you Kiki, not all mine, but I do have a lot. I’m jealous that you are about to get them flowering, can’t wait for it to happen here.
Wow! A nice photo!
Thank you Marland.
You’re welcome!
😊😊
Beautiful. I love the yellow flower with the thin red edging on the petals. It reminds me of a swirling skirt..
That is one of my favourites Marie and one that has be repotted, didn’t do so well last year, it is called cosmic light. Thank you.
Lots your flower photos.
Looks like you are similar to me in wanting close-ups of the flower heads. I’m always looking around for petal detail and colour (more than the overall garden itself).
Thank you Vicki. Yes, I love close ups, the beauty of the macro lens. I’m not really sure what I try and do, if I’m honest, I just try to find compositions that I think are appealing. I hope that makes sense.
These are beautiful!
Thank you Anne.
I’m not a dahlia fan, but I’ve a feeling your photos will end up convincing me to have another look.
What, I love them, my favourite I think. Maybe I can convince you, I will do my best this summer Margaret. Thank you.
I’m always amazed by the range of colors of Dahlias. Yours are SO pretty, Leanne.
So am I, but the large variety really makes it hard to work out what to grow at home. Thank you Sandy.
Welcome!
