Just a few images taken around Castlemaine

A week or so back, I showed you some photos from my trip to Castlemaine a while back. It was one of those days that I couldn’t stop using the infrared camera.

The first image is the same church that I photographed in colour in the last post from Malmsbury. You can see that post here if you want to compare. I love old churches like that, especially the ones built with bluestone. I do love the trees around the outside of this church, as it was really good for infrared photography. I’m starting to see that there are some trees that I love photographing in infrared.

The second photo is of a church in Castlemaine and sits on top of a small hill. I can’t remember what denomination it was, but it really stood out from where it sat especially because of the white paint.

The third one is part of Castlemaine Gaol, which is obviously no longer a gaol. I love the way the tower looked out over the town of Castlemaine below.

Another thing I’ve been thinking of doing is hand colouring some of my infrared images, like the following one I did from Tasmania in 2017.

Let me know what you think about me doing more of that.
