MM 219 – Monochrome Madness

14/ rainy day reflections

While it is time for MM219, I was also hoping to ask you all to take a look at the home page and maybe vote. I will do a post on it later in the week, but for now, I will get on with Monochrome Madness.

The next theme is next Wednesday and is CIRCLES. As always, your interpretation.

My Image

Nearly every time I go to the 12 Apostles, I always seem to end up photographing this tree, but then I don’t really do anything with the images. It seemed like a good idea to try it for Monochrome Madness. I find trees like this can be quite difficult, but it is what it is.

MM 219 – Monochrome Madness

Being part of MM

Monochrome Madness each week and if you wish to participate and submit an image here is how you do it:-

  • You must email me the image you want to include and if you have a blog or website, or somewhere else, please include the link. My email address is leanne@leannecole.com.au
  • The image size should be low res, so the largest side should be 1000 pixels or less.
  • Please insert either your name or your blogs name in the file name.
  • Remember I am on Australian time, so with GMT I am +11 hours at the moment, I publish my post on Wednesday morning.
  • Remember to include a link to your blog or website.
  • Please resize your images, it is fairly simply, you just need to go into any editing software and usually under Image you will find, resize, scale, or image size, something like that and you can resize your image there. Change the dimensions to pixels and make the longest side 1000 pixels or smaller, hit return, and for most types of software that should change the other side automatically as well. Just remember to save it with a different name so you know it is the smaller version.  If you have any problems, please contact me, I don’t mind helping out.
  • Please note you don’t have to be a WordPress blogger to be in this challenge, you can have a link to a Facebook page, a Flickr page, anywhere really, or no link.  We just want to encourage people to do monochrome images, just for the madness of it. Just to let you know also, that as soon as the challenge is published, all emails and images you have sent me are deleted from my computer.

  1. Not a huge fan of B&W but why not! Just for the madness of it right? 🙂 I’ll try to see if I can produce something and join your MM challenge. Oh and went to the home page and voted for your great shot!

    1. It is a good challenge if you feel that way, you can just do them and see how you go. Thank you so much for voting for me Stefano.

  2. Everyone’s photos are wonderful, as usual. It continually amazes me at the different images that are shared. I was pleasantly surprised to see my photo on the top of the page. Thanks so much.

    1. It is always amazing what people send in, I love getting the emails, the first glimpses.YOu’re welcome, I’m trying to spread it around.

  3. hi Leanne, did you safe my image for next week?
Didn’t realize I was a week early with the theme

#7 and #13 are my favorites for this week!

  4. Ah – I see – will go and look into voting again.
Hmm? I see what you mean about the voting idea, not being voted for would not put me off, as I know my photos are not a high standard, and I am not ‘a photographer’ or a regular contributor so I’m not the best one to judge.

    1. You don’t have to if you don’t want to, but it would be nice, especially since I’m the only woman there.
I have always tried to do MM so it wouldn’t put people off from entering. Voting is a form of judgement and I know that I would be upset if no one ever thought my images were any good.

  5. I went to the Home Page – your image is wonderful but I read the Terms and Conditions and I think only people in Oz can vote and only one vote per email address.
Then I thought what fun it would be to vote for our favourite Themed MM image each month – not for a prize – just for fun.
Does anyone else think the same?

    1. Anyone can vote, but only people from Australia will be in the running for the pair of shoes. A lot of people from overseas have already voted. I don’t know about the voting for your favourite image, if people never get voted for will they stop doing it?
