Dawn from The Day After is leading us this week in the theme for Monochrome Madness and the theme is LEAVES AND OR PETALS. I don’t know about other parts of the world, but this is a good theme for here right now. We have leaves and petals galore.
I did something a little bit different for this post, as I took all the photos just for it. I’ve been out in my garden with my camera and tripod. I was struggling with the wind for quite a few, one you can definitely tell. It wasn’t an easy task, but I quite liked the results.
I tried to get as close as possible to the leaves as I could for this. I had ideas of what I wanted to get, but I’m not absolutely sure I achieved them. I think they worked out well for the theme, but I might have to have another go at some stage.
Here is a gallery with my attempts at the theme. All of mine are leaves, as I thought that would be more interesting to me, as I photograph flowers, or petals, a lot more often. They are all from my garden as well.
Thank you Dawn for being out host this week. It was a great theme, I loved it. Please go and take a look at her post.
Participating in Monochrome Madness
If you would like to participate in this challenge, please post photos on your blog and use the tag Monochrome-Madness, then we can all use the reader to see what you post.
You can also leave a pingback, do they still call them that? Basically, you put a link to the host’s monochrome madness post in your post, and it leaves a link in the comment section.
Don’t forget to check out the Monochrome Madness page. On this page, the next theme is announced, and there is also all the information for participating. Please go and check it out. Click on the Monochrome Madness heading in the menu.
Great black and white! I like how detailed these pictures look.
Thank you so much Casagan.
Love this! Macro photography that includes water droplets fascinates me so!
The waterdrops are the icing on the cake, thank you Braden.
These are great Leanne! I especially like the ones with raindrops, and the one affected by the wind actually looks great – I would have taken it as deliberate ICM 😆
Thank you Sarah, the waterdrops were lucky. The one with the wind is two blurry images put together. I really liked how it worked too.
Excellent!
Thanks Dawn.
You were quite right to stick with your garden. What variety! Here’s mine: https://margaret21.com/2025/11/26/leaves-and-petals/
