Monochrome Madness – A few images from country Victoria

Free week again and I was looking at some photos from country Victoria for something else, and realised I had quite a few images that I had done in monochrome from past challenges. It seemed like a good reason to show them again.

I am always looking for excuses to repost some of these over and over. I love going out of the city and into the country to take photos. I have a friend that I go out with. We will plan a day and go to see what we can find. I also do a lot of photos when I go to visit my mum. Actually, most of the photos below are from there.

It is always nice to go back through photos and remember your trips to these places. Some are still there, some are not. The last time I went to the place where the last photo was taken, you couldn’t see them because they were covered with water.

Next week is Monochrome Madness #46, and our host is Margaret from From Pyrenees to Pennines, and she has chosen the theme Clocks and Timepieces. Going to have to put the thinking cap on for that one and see if I can remember the photos I have for it.

Participating in Monochrome Madness

If you would like to participate in this challenge, please post photos on your blog and use the tag Monochrome-Madness, then we can all use the reader to see what you post.

You can also leave a pingback, do they still call them that? Basically, you put a link to the host’s monochrome madness post in your post, and it leaves a link in the comment section.

Don’t forget to check out the Monochrome Madness page. On this page, the next theme is announced and there is also all the information for participating. Please go and check it out. Click on the Monochrome Madness heading in the menu.

  1. Nice photos! I agree that it’s always fun to remember while looking through old photos and see the changes that have occurred. Where is the place from your last photo? What are those walls?

    1. Thank you Esther, yeah, going through your old photos can be like doing trips again. The last photo was once a railway bridge, but when they turned the area into a dam they got rid of everything but the walls that held up the rails. It is often underwater, so you can’t them very often.

    2. It is lucky, I will have to wait until we don’t have any rain for a few years to see them again. Sometimes we can see the top of them.

  2. When you look around, the country is full of amazing stuff to shoot. I really dig your grain elevator shots…
