Monochrome Madness – Phillip Island in monochrome
Last week I spent a few days on Phillip Island. There was no doubt that while the trip was to celebrate a friend’s birthday, it was also going to involve visiting some places and taking […]

I’m away at the moment, but more on that later. I ran out of time to do something for Monochrome Madness this week, so I thought I would take a look at some entries that […]
This last weekend I was able to get out and take some photos. I don’t seem to do it as much as I used to. Still, I do love it when I can. I have […]
For Monochrome Madness this week I went back to some photos taken a few years ago of Steavenson Falls in Marysville. This is often an incredible waterfall and I don’t think it ever disappoints. I […]
One thing I have always wondered is how would a sunset translate into black and white. My friend Chris does all black and white images, well most of them anyway. When we go out and […]
Recently I’ve posted a couple of monochrome images and I have to admit I kind of miss the Monochrome Madness challenge that we used to do. While I don’t want to post everyone’s photos again, […]
I had no idea that Aliens had crash landed in Australia, let alone Coober Pedy. Who knew. Well I found out when I started looking at photos of the town once we arrived. Once I […]
We all know that saying and really sometimes it is so true. That is how I felt on a trip into the city recently to take some photos.
Yes, I’m repeating this post, Monochrome Wednesday – Vastness. There are many reasons really, and I know I haven’t posted for a couple of weeks, but my daughters haven’t been getting along and well I’ve […]

Recently I’ve been looking at photos from my trip to the USA and it seemed like a good idea for Monochrome Madness so here is one of a marina in San Francisco.
Time did get away from me for Monochrome Wednesday so today’s image is an old one that I did of a shearing shed. It was used once before.
It was back out to the garden to capture the lines in a lily for Monochrome Wednesday today. Lilies are great subjects for monochrome.

When I was home I did a walk around some parts of mum’s town with the IR camera and thought the photos would be good for Weekend Wanderings.
I cannot lie, but I’ve been getting lots of inspiration from Instagram for Monochrome Wednesday and images of the mountains of New Zealand. So can you guess where today’s image is from?
While planning yet another trip to Tasmania I thought the infrared photos I took in Port Arthur might be good for Silent Sunday today. Infrared does have a quietness.
While going through Instagram the other day a photo inspired me to look at my photos of the Flatiron building in New York for Monochrome Wednesday. I found one that I thought might work.
