A couple of the dahlias have started flowering and many of the others have got buds that are about to burst open. While there are others that are only just started to come up. Funny […]
Spring is here and it is getting warmer. Every time I go out into the garden there are new flowers. It is so nice after such a long time with almost nothing. I need to […]
I was out in the garden yesterday and around my greenhouse are these orange flowers. I believe they are called Calendulas and they are growing everywhere. I don’t pull them out because I don’t mind […]
Last weekend when I went out for my walk I took my new infrared camera with me. It was fun to walk around everywhere stopping here and there to take photos. I do live next […]
Can you guess? Yep, I got my Fujifilm X-T3 back from Imaging by Design and it is now fully converted to Infrared. It took a while, but I’m not too fussed about that, I have […]
Before we start the post today I want to talk to you about comments on my blog. Now nothing bad. I have noticed that people don’t always get to see their comments here. I don’t […]
Different post this Monday. As the Lens-Artists Challenge mob are taking a break this week. Next week I’m going to be the host for it, so I hope you are looking forward to my post […]
When I decided to concentrate more on blogging than other social media platforms I knew I wanted to do more posts that would be similar to what I used to do on Instagram. That is, […]

Since I went away I haven’t worked on many of the images that I took those few days, but it is time to start. Today’s Monochrome Madness image was taken on the second day we […]
I know I did a post about extension tubes once before, and I think I told you that I was going to try and get more to see how they would work. Well, I got […]
We have had a visitor staying with us for the last week or so and it has been busy around here. I thought today you might like to either see this for the first time […]
Last Friday I did a post on using the Tamron 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD lens. It is a big lens and great for taking wildlife photos. I’m sure there are lots of other things you […]
Another quick post today. I’ve been trying to get some stuff done in the garden and use some of the produce. Who knew a zucchini plant would produce so many zucchinis?
Now that I have the Fujifilm X-T3 I find I’m limited when it comes to macro, but I did get the Lensbaby Velvet 56 for it and the photos for Floral Friday were taken with […]
I’ve been trying to do more still life photography and I thought it would be good to show you a couple I’ve been experimenting with for Monochrome Madness.
Yesterday I did one of the Manchester Unity Building (MUB) that I thought was boring, but for Monochrome Wednesday I have one that I think works a lot better.
