Floral Friday – Before the rains came

We have been getting so much rain. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy we are getting it, but it has been hard on the flowers. I know the plants will be loving it, but the flowers are very water logged.

I’m thankful that I have been out a lot in the last couple of months so I have lots of photos from the garden.

I have three photos here all taken with my Fujifilm X-T3 with the Lensbaby Velvet 56mm lens on it.

Happy Friday.

  1. We’ve been swamped with rain. The flowers are surviving, but the trees are dying and falling over. The ground is so soft, so sodden the trees can’t get oxygen and can’t properly anchor in the soil. We need a break from the rain, but it’s not happening yet. Another inch or two tomorrow on top of the immense amount we’ve already gotten. The dead, broken trees are everywhere. I am watching my woods collapse. It is awful to see.

    1. That isn’t good Marilyn. We have had that much. It is terrible when the ground just can’t absorb anymore water. We got 75mm or 3 inches in a day and I was surprised when I went to the local park it didn’t look like we had that much, but we haven’t had rain for a few months, so it was just sucked up by the ground. I’m sorry to hear about your trees and I hope it stops raining soon.
