Sometimes you find the strangest things – Looking around Coober Pedy
I had no idea that Aliens had crash landed in Australia, let alone Coober Pedy. Who knew. Well I found out when I started looking at photos of the town once we arrived. Once I […]

It seems to have taken so long to get to my favourite photos of the trip. Coober Pedy was an absolute surprise for me. I never expected that it would be so good to photograph. […]
We have almost come to the end of my trip to the Northern Territory. Today I have the last of the photos from the last day there. Though I still have more photos, but not […]
On our second day in Alice Springs, we decided it was time to get back to doing the things we had originally planned. It was the same day we went to Hermannsburg, but before we […]
One of the places that Suzzanna suggested we go and see was Hermannsburg near Alice Springs. I hadn’t ever heard of it, but once I looked it up I knew it was a definite yes […]
Arriving in Alice Springs was interesting. I’m not sure how else to put it. We were tired after driving for over eight hours and then we checked into our motel. We were spending 4 nights […]
I’m a day later than I wanted to be with this post. I have to admit I’ve been glued to the computer and YouTube to watch all that is happening with the Queen. I have […]
When Suzzanna and I were planning our trip to Central Australia one thing we both thought was that we would do sunrise and sunset every day we were there. We did that. The images in […]
This excursion was something that Suzzanna really wanted to do. Though when I saw what it was, I wasn’t opposed to doing it. Basically it is a large field that has 50,000 solar lights in […]
When I got to Uluru there were a few things I wanted to do, and mostly I got to do them, or experiencing them. In the distance I got to photograph it, at different times […]
One of the things we wanted to do while at Yulara and Uluru was try to do sunrise and sunset each day. We knew it would be tiring, but we really thought it would be […]
The big question we had when we first decided to do this trip was fly or drive.
This trip hasn’t seemed liked one that I have been waiting a long time for, probably because it doesn’t seem that long ago that I said to my friend, “I’ll go with you”.
I finally made it up to my mum’s place. It has to be almost 3 years since I was here last. I think it is the longest gap between visits.
I have mentioned before that on my trip to Beechworth we also went to the Old Beechworth Gaol (jail).
It seems there are always lots of places to go when you visit a new place, except where you live. For some reason not much where I live. It can seem quite boring.
Today is ANZAC day. That is our main memorial day to remember all those that fought in a war and also those that died.
I’ve tried planning trips before and then lockdowns happened. The trip was postponed. We planned again, another lockdown. In the end, we gave up.
I had a lovely morning on Sunday as I got up early and went to the Werribee Zoo where I toured the Savannah.
Yeah, you read that right, it was movie country. While we were there we were surrounded by film crews as they got ready for a film shoot later in the day.
