Being a Middle Aged Photographer – the upside

We stopped at a random place on my recent trip and took photos of waves crashing over rocks so I thought it would make a great image for Monochrome Wednesday.
This isn’t the first time I have looked at Michael Kenna in an Influencing Me post, but I thought it might be nice to show you something other than his images.
Once again going into the archives for Silent Sunday and thought it might be nice to revisit my visit to Riverside Park in New York.
Today for Weekend Wanderings it seemed like a good idea to show some of the birds I photographed at Healesville Sanctuary a few weeks ago.
Today I was out at Alowyn Gardens and I thought it might be good to do a post on the place for Floral Friday. Though I wasn’t there to take photos.

It would hardly be surprising that for Monochrome Wednesday I have prepared an image taken near Loch Ard Gorge. You can’t go to the Great Ocean Road without going there.
Well, the weekend is over and yeah I’m back now. Had a great time and got so many photos, I have lots of work ahead. It is fantastic.

Later today I am heading away for a few days. It is the New Moon and I’m hoping to get some Astro shots down along the Great Ocean Road.

Today we are looking at some of the animals at Healesville Sanctuary from my visit the other day for Weekend Wanderings. Though not a lot of photos.
In my ramble yesterday I talked about visiting Healesville, I didn’t do any macro, but thought it might be nice to look at some I got a while back for Floral Friday.
I have a confession, I have absolutely no idea what to blog about today. This happens from time to time, but I usually resolve it and find something.
While going through Instagram the other day a photo inspired me to look at my photos of the Flatiron building in New York for Monochrome Wednesday. I found one that I thought might work.
The question of whether or not I am really a traveller is something I’ve asked myself a lot. Do I really want to travel? Do I need it for my photography?
There are so many artists that have had an influencing effect on me and Vilhelm Hammershøi is among them. He was a Danish painter.
