After using the tripod quite a bit in my own garden, it was time to try it out at a different place. When my friend and I went to Alowyn Gardens, I took the tripod with me.
I have to admit I was a bit worried that it would make me too slow, but I don’t think it held us up at all. I was glad that I had been practicing at home quite a bit, so I am already getting faster at setting up my shots.
I wasn’t sure how it would go at the gardens, but I actually found it meant I could get closer to the flowers. Unlike at home I couldn’t just go trapsing into the garden beds. It was good to be able to put the tripod into the garden to take a photo, where I couldn’t step into it.
I have for you three of the images that I took with my new camera on my tripod, Bucky, with the 80mm macro lens. I will be processing more of the images, as there are a lot of them.
👌 very nicely done. Epic lighting and scale on that last one
Thank you Al.
Beautiful images! Ive often worried about taking my tripod places as well, seeing these images, its worth it!!!
It is Pamela, I never thought I would use my tripod for this sort of photography, now I can’t stop. Thank you.
I love these photos, and the way you’ve captured the interplay between light and dark.
Thank you so much Ruth.
Beautiful flowers photos individually and very harmonious as a gallery 🙂
Thank you so much Sarah.
Using the tripod sounds like a good idea. Lovely photographs.
Thank you RJ, I am getting much better and consistent results with it.
I love that white Portuguese Squill flower. I had to look it up and find it’s name.
It looks very effective as a flower photo with the black background.
It is a great flower, I would love to get the white one, I have purple ones that I got from my mother, but don’t know where to get the white one. It is a great flower to photograph. Thank you Vicki.
