Today I am reposting a Weekend Wandering post from 2016 about Cairn Curran Reservoir. It is a place I’ve visited a few times over the years.

For Floral Friday I thought I would head out to the garden with the Struman Optics macro lens on my phone. As spring gets closer there is more to see.
Today I wanted to show you a photo of a lily that I have been experimenting with. I’ve been playing around with my textures quite a bit.
When I was looking for a photo for Monochrome Wednesday I saw this image and it just said vastness to me. Really, that is what the Mallee is like a lot.
It has been a while since I did a post like this, but it is time for catching you on some things that I’ve been doing. A lot has been happening.
The Brooklyn Bridge would have to be one of the most famous bridges in the world and a good subject for Silent Sunday. Hopefully, I haven’t already done it.
When I was home I did a walk around some parts of mum’s town with the IR camera and thought the photos would be good for Weekend Wanderings.
Today for Floral Friday I thought I would show you some of my macro images and how many pieces they would be in a jigsaw puzzle.
When I was away I got to thinking about do photographers have responsibilities to the world around them. Do we think about where we take photos and if there are repercussions to it?
I’m back from the Mallee for Monochrome Wednesday and I thought it might be good to be looking back at a previous one of Melbourne.
Today I’ve been out a lot and so for Silent Sunday, I have a couple of photos of the sun as it sets over the Great Ocean Road.
It seems apt to be up here in the Mallee for my Weekend Wanderings post and this morning we took a look at the lake in Hopetoun with the infrared camera.
Yes, you read that right, I was locked in my garden while trying to get photos for Floral Friday. Okay, I wasn’t locked in the garden, but I was locked out of the house. Unbelievable.
It has to be said that there a lot of upsides to being a middle aged photographer these days. I know there are downers, but lots of uppers as well. Believe me, there are.
We stopped at a random place on my recent trip and took photos of waves crashing over rocks so I thought it would make a great image for Monochrome Wednesday.
This isn’t the first time I have looked at Michael Kenna in an Influencing Me post, but I thought it might be nice to show you something other than his images.
Once again going into the archives for Silent Sunday and thought it might be nice to revisit my visit to Riverside Park in New York.
Today for Weekend Wanderings it seemed like a good idea to show some of the birds I photographed at Healesville Sanctuary a few weeks ago.
Today I was out at Alowyn Gardens and I thought it might be good to do a post on the place for Floral Friday. Though I wasn’t there to take photos.
A big question for today’s U4D post is are artists born? It is something that many people question. I thought it would be good for today.
