Unfortunately I have no idea what these are, I want to say snow drops, but I am probably wrong.
Last weekend I taught my first macro photography class. It went well I think. I had a friend doing the class and she said she thought it was good.
Usually for these posts I show you a close up of a flower, but I thought it might be nice to show you one of Alowyn Gardens with the wisteria out in full bloom.
A poppy from Alowyn Gardens. Taking photos of it last week and watching the bees having a great time.
Yesterday, I had a trip to Alowyn Gardens. I think it is one of the best places to test lenses for macro photography. Right now there are flowers everywhere. It was fantastic to see it […]
Earlier this week a parcel arrived and in it was a new lens that Lensbaby have loaned to me, the Velvet 85. It is part of the Velvet series. I’ve been using the Velvet 56 […]
There are all these articles that were written when I was doing the Dynamic Range Magazine, and it seems like such a waste that they were written and will never be seen again. I thought […]

Last week I missed doing my floral post, so I was determined I wouldn’t this week.
Sometimes I have trouble working out what to post, then yesterday I posted a photo of a flower on my macro Instagram page and thought perhaps it would be a good one for you as […]
Today, I just wanted to show you a few of my macro images. I love doing them, and I want to start showing them more.
Here we are on Easter Sunday and I haven’t been doing a lot. This morning I spent some time in the garden with the Lensbaby Velvet 56 and Samyang 100mm Macro lens. The garden is […]
One of the benefits of being a contributer/writer for Digital Photography School is that I get to try out a lot of new gear. It can be good, see what is happening out there, but […]
Earlier in the week I received an email to tell me that my application for accreditation to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show was accepted. I’m looking forward to spending some time there, for […]
