Finally, got out again today to the Blue Lotus Water Gardens. It is nice to get another visit in, though many of the water lilies are done, but we did manage to get something different.
There are some things that are great to bring back from my old blogging days and Monochrome on a Wednesday is definitely one of them. This week I thought I would try a water lily.
It is now March and for me, that means it is the lead up to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. I have been going for a few years now. It is always a […]
It isn’t the first time I have been to the Blue Lotus Water Gardens at the Yarra Junction, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Visiting the gardens is always good and there is […]
These are being posted too late, so starting from this week, I’m going to try and do it on Friday. I will have to make sure the podcast is done sooner. For photo challenge 8 […]
This time of the year can be so depressing for macro photography, then again if you look you can find some beautiful flowers. So, for today’s Floral Friday I found a few flowers from the […]
Here we are, ready for Floral Friday, and it is also Good Friday. We don’t really celebrate Easter in our house, beyond it being a great excuse for lots of chocolate Easter eggs. I also […]

A couple of weeks ago I was at Alowyn Gardens taking photos of the flowers before and after the rain. Water drops on flowers are fantastic, they really bring out the colours of the flowers.

Usually for these posts I show you a close up of a flower, but I thought it might be nice to show you one of Alowyn Gardens with the wisteria out in full bloom.
Yesterday, I had a trip to Alowyn Gardens. I think it is one of the best places to test lenses for macro photography. Right now there are flowers everywhere. It was fantastic to see it […]
Earlier this week a parcel arrived and in it was a new lens that Lensbaby have loaned to me, the Velvet 85. It is part of the Velvet series. I’ve been using the Velvet 56 […]
